About Jayanthi Photography

Armed with a Master’s in Journalism and Mass Communication, Jayanthi carved her own unique path, diverging from her peers to follow her true passion—photography. Her love affair with the SLR camera began in her school days, and it wasn’t long before she turned this passion into a profession.

Jayanthi’s career began in 2000 as a Producer with Sun TV, one of Tamil Nadu’s leading television channels. In 2007, she moved to Kalaignar TV while simultaneously nurturing her creative brainchild—PIXELWORKS. After nearly a decade of producing popular TV shows, Jayanthi made a bold decision to step away from television and fully immerse herself in the world of photography.

With over 18 years of experience, Jayanthi has mastered the art of candid photography, capturing raw and unfiltered moments across various genres. From architecture and product photography to fashion, portraits, and kids’ portraits, her portfolio is as diverse as it is impressive. She’s also a sought-after name in pre/post-wedding and candid wedding photography, bringing a unique narrative quality to each frame.

Her expertise extends beyond photography—Jayanthi has had the privilege of working under legendary cinematographer P.C. Sriram, the maestro of lighting in Indian cinema. She also contributed her skills as a still photographer for the critically acclaimed movie Psycho, directed by the renowned filmmaker Mysskin.

In addition to her photography career, Jayanthi is passionate about sharing her knowledge. As a visiting faculty member, she regularly conducts seminars on photography at prestigious institutions like Anna University, Loyola College, Ethiraj College, WCC, and NFDC. Her work has been featured in leading magazines such as Kumudham, Snegithi, and Dina Malar, as well as The Hindu and various YouTube channels.
